The 2025 Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Award for Best MRI-Guided Robotic Device recognizes Insight Medbotics' leadership in developing Glenn™ to give urologists intuitive, viable MRI access for the first time ever.
Insight Medbotics, an interventional oncology company advancing precision in cancer care through its MRI-compatible robotics, has won a 2025 Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Award for Best MRI-Guided Robotic Device (North America).
Now in their tenth year, the Global Health & Pharma Magazine awards celebrate businesses and innovators revolutionizing these industries, including companies with demonstrated excellence, resilience, and innovation, setting new standards in patient care, research and medical advancement.
While MRI is the gold standard for visualizing soft-tissue cancers and is commonly used for diagnostic scans, this imaging technology isn’t widely used to perform cancer interventions, such as taking biopsies or in other treatments. Insight Medbotics envisions development in other biopsies, therapy delivery, and device placement. The company is developing a new robotics category designed for use with MRI to help solve this access challenge, starting with urologists who treat prostate cancer.
“We’re pleased to be recognized for our work in developing a new category of robotics as we bring our MRI-compatible robotics technology to market,” says Fazila Seker, CEO and member of the Insight Medbotics Board of Directors. “The new robot digitizes the entire care pathway, offering data-driven clinical insight in ways that haven’t been possible before, giving urologists intuitive MRI access while removing the guesswork of traditional ultrasound guidance. For the first time ever, we’re giving urologists intuitive, viable MRI access because our approach can dramatically reduce MRI procedure time, making procedures in the MRI efficient and ultimately helping to improve the patient experience.”
