Next generation of Insight Medbotics’ MRI-compatible robotics platform previewed via invitation-only meetings at LUGPA 2025
(CHICAGO, IL) November 13, 2025 — Insight Medbotics, an interventional oncology company advancing precision in cancer care through its MRI-compatible robotics, announced that independent urologists have given its next-generation robotics system, Glenn™, strong and positive feedback on its early design and usability. The feedback was shared through a series of private, invitation-only meetings during the Large Urology Group Practice Association’s (LUGPA) Annual Meeting in Chicago.
Glenn™ is being designed to help urologists to perform MRI-guided prostate interventions with enhanced precision inside the MRI suite while avoiding the guesswork currently involved in relying upon ultrasound within existing clinical practice. While development work on the prototype system continues, these early sessions provide valuable clinical insights to help refine its design and integration strategy for future clinical evaluation.
“Engaging independent urologists in small, focused discussions allows us to collect high-fidelity feedback to directly inform Glenn’s development,” said Fazila Seker, CEO and Board Director of Insight Medbotics. “Our goal is to design a market-ready product that’s intuitive to operate and useful to a wide range of practicing urologists. These early interactions de-risk our design process, validate the need across diverse practice settings, and guide our roadmap toward clinical readiness.”
Throughout Fall 2025, Insight Medbotics has hosted demonstrations and workflow reviews with urologists from community hospitals, academic centers, and independent practices. These conversations explored how MRI-guided robotics could fit into existing clinical environments and business models—particularly in independent and community practice settings where access to MRI machines and other advanced technology options may be limited.
As the only nonprofit urology trade association in the US, LUGPA gives its members exclusive access to urology-specific resources for practice management, professional education, advocacy, and networking. The organization’s annual meeting—its most highly attended to date—provided a valuable opportunity for Insight Medbotics to deepen relationships within the independent urology community and capture direct practitioner perspectives on workflow integration and usability.
“It’s vital to ensure that Glenn meets the needs of urologists in different practice settings,” says Seker. “We also sought feedback on the business models that would be viable with Glenn within an independent urology practice setting, including how and where they would access MRI machines outfitted with Glenn.”
Seker noted that this diversity of input will inform both product development and the company’s Clinical Advisory Board composition.
“We’re designing Glenn not just for one type of practice setting, but for the broad realities of modern urology practice,” she said. “Beyond the variance in practice size, urologists often have different procedure preferences. Our goal is to build a platform and business model that are intuitive, clinically useful, and economically practical for urologists everywhere.”
